Review of the Thug Kitchen Blended Earl Grey Latte

Today is day 13 of the Thug Kitchen 21 Day Challenge and today I am reviewing the Thug Kitchen Blended Earl Grey Latte.  I absolutely love Earl Grey tea (I mean, who doesn’t!).  I don’t think that there is anything more exciting than an iced, blended version.  To top it off, the recipe is made with frozen banana, almond milk and a small amount of sweetener (agave or maple syrup).  So this was a no brainer to add to the ‘to make’ list.  I was excited to give it a shot.  Obviously, I would pair it with the Almond Butter Chocolate Cookies from yesterday.  Obviously!

At First Glance

This recipe has only four ingredients, which is amazing. The items can easily be purchased at any grocery store, year round.  The directions are very easy to follow.  Make sure to read the note in that it needs to sit a while.  This is one downfall with all the Thug Kitchen recipes, they never state how long each recipe will take.  Because there are only four ingredients, it is quite inexpensive as well.  A great drink for a hot summer afternoon.

The Taste Test

I really liked the taste of this.  I am not a big fan of sweet things, and found it a little bit sweet.  But I can imagine others would find it just sweet enough.  I suggest adding sweetener after you taste it.  It could be the state of your bananas as well.  Use a good blender so all the banana is blended well and the ice froths it up nicely.  I found it completely satisfying after dinner.

Final Verdict

Thug Kitchen Blended Earl Grey LatteI think the Thug Kitchen Blended Earl Grey Tea Latte is a great drink and something you should definitely try!  Once blended, you need to drink it right away and doesn’t last long.  However, why not double the batch, and keep in the fridge to blend with a frozen banana each day.

Let me know if you have tried this recipe, and have any tips or tricks to make the recipe even better (if it’s possible!)
