Setting 10 Intentions for 2021

We are entering a new year, a new decade even (because 2020 didn’t count, am I right?). I made the executive decision to create intentions this year as opposed to hard and fast goals. Why? Because intentions are purposeful, they are lived in the present moment and they represent a commitment to carry out an action.

Last year was so immense for many of us, myself included. I had a hard time sticking to goals and my usual routines, until I did the 75 hard challenge – I was lacking purpose.

So this year it had to be different. I learned so much in the past 12 months, from being adaptable and flexible, to focusing on myself moreso than I ever had before. I had friends and family around me going through huge life shifts, and I was going through some too. By setting these 10 intentions, I hope to create some calm and some groundedness in the coming year.

My 10 intentions for 2021

These intentions are meant to be adaptable – I aim to pick one or two a week and create a small goal that is based on one of them. This way, I can have something new and fresh to work towards, and not feel like I am stuck on a certain goal or milestone.
