Fresh in the Woods Gin and Tonic

This recipe combines gin and sour to make the perfectly tart cocktail, that’s light but woodsy. A combination of cranberry and pine make you want to go for a hike in the woods or go for a ski!

  • 2 oz Gin (Botanical )
  • 2 oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1 oz Pine infused simple syrup*
  • ½ each Lime, juiced
  • 1 can tonic water or soda (I really like the cran-raspberry lacroix)
  • ice

Garnish

  • cranberries
  • pine branch, dipped in icing sugar for snow!
  1. Add gin, cranberry juice, simple syrup and lime to a shaker with ice
  2. Stir well or shake until cold
  3. Add ice to a tall glass
  4. Strain liquid over ice, and top with tonic or soda water
  5. Garnish with a sprig of pine, some cranberries and a lime wedge

*For simple syrup, dissolve 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water over the stovetop on medium heat. Add a few springs of pine and cook for 5 minutes. Allow to cool for an hour and then strain and store in fridge for up to a month.
